- Eliminating or minimizing risks to workers' health, safety, & welfare in the workplace.
- Ensuring fair & effective workplace representation, consultation, cooperation, & issue resolution regarding work health & safety.
- Encouraging a proactive role in enhancing work health & safety practices, aiding businesses, undertakings, & workers in fostering a healthier & safer work environment.
- Advancing the provision of advice, information, education, & training concerning work health & safety.
- Establishing a framework for continuous improvement & increasingly higher work health & safety standards.
- Implementing an effective system for monitoring health, welfare, & working conditions.
- Facilitating an efficient mechanism for reporting, recording, & investigating identified hazards or work-related illnesses & injuries.
- Promoting a robust rehabilitation strategy to fully support those affected by work-related health issues.
We are dedicated to a systematic approach to ensure our WHS Management System strives to:
- Establish & enforce comprehensive WHS policies & procedures to effectively manage WHS throughout all aspects of the business. We are responsible for developing, advising on, & executing WHS programmes that comply with WHS laws & are relevant to our organization's operations.
- Conduct WHS risk analysis to identify hazards, assess risk levels, & establish control mechanisms to eliminate or reduce injury & damage potential. This analysis is performed annually & when changes in plant, processes, or procedures occur.
- Include adequate resources in WHS programs, such as financial & human support, timeframes for hazard & risk identification, access, control, & systems to monitor outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of resources & systems for managing first aid, injury management, workers' compensation, & rehabilitation. Develop policies & procedures reflecting legislative requirements & risks.
- Provide consultation arrangements between employees & employers, whether through a WHS committee, representative, or other agreed arrangements, as required by legislation.
- Assess training requirements & provide in-house or external training programs.
- Establish workplace programs, records, & registers to support WHS, eliminate or reduce workplace hazards & assist injured workers.
- Maintain registers & information for injury management, first aid, safe work procedures, hazard identification, training, employee records, plant & equipment, licensing, qualifications, permits, high-risk work, & chemicals.
- Perform a detailed analysis of business undertakings & activities to develop a comprehensive WHS Policy Manual.
