VISY PULP AND PAPER TUMUT
SCOPE OF WORK
- The replacement of the power boiler primary super heater upper bank including replacement of the collection steam header and installation of new vent line.
- The removal and replacement of 55 panels in total.
- The removal and reinstallation of boiler tube wall for access.
- The installation and welding of wall membrane 110 segments.
- All welds were 100% NDT
- Replacement of existing superheater outlet header with specially designed one. An additional vent line installed on the header.
- All works completed in 10 working days, execeding expectations.
- Provision of NDT, materials, welder testing/qualifications and procedures.
WHEATSTONE PROJECT LNG PLANT
SCOPE OF WORK
Wheatstone LNG is a liquified natural gas plant in the Ashburton North Strategic Industrial Area 12 kilometres west of Onslow, Western Australia.
TWE was a contracted to work on the construction of LNG storage tanks and field erected condensate tanks, including all piping.
QCLNG UPSTREAM PROJECT
SCOPE OF WORK
The Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Project commenced in 2010 on Curtis Island, located off the central coast of Gladstone Queensland.
TWE was awarded the contract to supply a highly skilled work force that included mechanical fitters, boilermakers, pressure welders, pipe fitters, trade assistants, safety officers, supervisors and site administration to work on the following QCLNG upstream projects:
- Bellevue CPP
- Ruby Jo CPP
- Woleebee Creek CPP
- Woleebee Creek Train 3
- Charlie FCS
HMAS ALBATROSS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
SCOPE OF WORK
Installation of Aviation fuel lines. Stainless piping and welding.
TWE supplied welding inspectors, pipe welders and fitters to work on new hot refuelling point and new fuelling pipe line at the HMAS Albatross Nowra.

OIL AND GAS DEVILS CREEK DEVELOPMENT
SCOPE OF WORK
Construction of an onshore gas plant and the onshore pipeline to the gas plant in addition to the non-process infrastructure (NPI) required on the site.
The onshore pipeline was constructed and tied into the gas plant. The treated gas is exported via a tie-in into the existing 1,600km Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline that services a range of industries as well as both private and State Government owned gas and electricity generators and retailers.
The contract also included the construction of the permanent process and non-process buildings required on site including a warehouse/workshop, administration building, chemical and waste storage sheds and a condensate loadout shed.
WORSLEY EFFICIENCY AND GROWTH
SCOPE OF WORK
TWE were awarded the contract to supply structural mechanical and piping construction works at the Worsley Efficiency and Growth (E&G) Alumina Refinery project in Western Australia.
The contract involved piping works and modifications to the site's existing precipitation facility. Including 56,000 metres of piping and 200 tonnes of bulk mechanical items.

NCIG STAGE #2
SCOPE OF WORK
The project was designed to increase the export capacity of the Port of Newcastle, the world's leading exporter of coal.
Stage Two of works on the site included a new rail unloading facility and rail sidings, an additional stacker/reclaimer and stockyards, additional conveyors and sample stations and an additional shiploader.
WIGGINS ISLAND COAL EXPORT TERMINAL (WICET)
SCOPE OF WORK
TWE supplied special class welders, skilled painters and supervisors to assist in the construction of offshore plant and infrastructure with a 1.8km approach jetty and transfer tower platform, wharf, wharf conveyor including the drive and take up tower, berthing and mooring dolphins, ship access platforms, jetty conveyor and transfer tower.
AUSTRALIA PACIFIC LNG (APLNG) + GLNG
SCOPE OF WORK
TWE worked on a new product loading facility comprising a 360-metre jetty and loading platform. TWE participated in completing pile to headstock welds at the APLNG Facility Jetty Project.
- Installation of all reinforcement on two LNG full containment storage tanks which have a capacity of 160,000 cubic metres each.
- Installation of all reinforcement on four tower crane bases.
- Installation of all reinforcement on two stair tower foundations.
- Total reinforcement tonnage 6000T.
VALES POINT UNIT 6 MAJOR OVERHAUL
SCOPE OF WORK
Vales Point Power Station, one of two coal fired power stations on the shores of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, is located on the southern shore of the lake, near the township of Mannering Park. It has two steam turbines, with a total generating capacity of 1,320 MW of electricity.
TWE supplied 10 special class pipe welders and fitters for the boiler and economiser.
